Wooden Bowls

WT 1979—This handcrafted footed bowl was turned by Steve from a piece of Red Lemon Eucalyptus. It has been dipped in a blend of oils and buffed with a coat of carnauba wax. The five bands have been burned in using a pyrography technique. The turning is food safe. The bowl is 10 ¾”W x 4 1/8”H and cost $185. |
WT 1951, 1952, & 1953—This set of nested bowls were turned by Steve from a piece of Monkey Pod. The turnings have been dipped in a blend of oils and buffed with a coat of carnauba wax. The turnings are food safe. The largest bowl is 13” W X 4 ½”H and cost $190, the middle bowl is 10”W x 3”H and cost $145, the smallest bowl is 7”W x 2”H and cost $110. |
WT1962—This handcrafted bowl was turned by Steve from a piece of Spalted Oak that came from a tree that was at Joplin High School that was destroyed by the EF-5 tornado of May 22, 2011. Inlace turquoise was used to fill some cracks and voids. It has been dipped in a blend of oils and buffed with a coat of carnauba wax. The turning is food safe. The bowl is 8 7/8”W x 2 ¾”H and cost $140. |
WT1749—This handcrafted bowl was turned by Steve from a piece of Cherry Burl. The turning was turned while the wood was still green and allowed to warp as it dried. It has been dipped in a blend of oils and buffed with a coat of carnauba wax. The turning is food safe. The bowl is 10 ¾” W x 3 ½”H and cost $175. |
