Dyed Turnings
Dyed turnings are turned from highly figured wood. These turnings are first turned to its desired shape/form. Once turned and the area to be dyed determined, the selected area is dyed black and then sanded back to where the black is only in the opened pored areas. After this sanding, the desired dye color is added. Once the dyed area is dry either cyanoacrylate glue or high gloss clear lacquer is added create a high gloss finish.
